Kristina Griffing is a dedicated homemaker and homeschooling mom, raising and educating her five children. In addition to her role as a mother, Kristina also opens her heart and home as a foster mom, providing love and stability to children in need.
Kristina grew up in South Jersey and graduated from West Chester University with a degree in elementary education, equipping her with the skills and knowledge to effectively teach and nurture her children. In 2001, she married her husband, Todd, in West Chester, and the couple moved to the Pike Creek area in Delaware 23 years ago. Since then, Kristina and her family have lived in Newark and have called Middletown home for the past 19 years.
Her commitment to education is evident in the accomplishments of her children. She has successfully homeschooled her five children, graduating her two eldest daughters, Kaylin and Alayna. Kaylin is currently in her third year at Goldey-Beacom College, where she is majoring in entrepreneurship. Her younger sister, Alayna, is in her second year at Cedarville University, majoring in psychology with a concentration in children. Alayna also actively participates in the university’s softball team, showcasing her athletic talents alongside her academic pursuits.
Through her dedication and passion for education and family, Kristina Griffing continues to inspire those around her with her commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for all children under her care.
Education is the cornerstone of Delaware’s economic, social, and cultural future. A strong education system is the foundation for a prosperous state, creating opportunities for all Delawareans. Our vision focuses on empowering educators, rewarding success, and enhancing school choice to build a world-class education system.
Delaware’s economy is in dire straits due to reckless spending and unsustainable policies from the Party in Power. Instead of investing federal relief funds wisely, they’ve ballooned state spending by 13%, far beyond inflation, while revenues decline. This leads to higher taxes and more financial strain on hardworking Delawareans. I will fight to cut wasteful spending, stop the creation of unnecessary state jobs, and prioritize fiscal responsibility, ensuring Delaware’s budget reflects what we can afford, not reckless overspending. It’s time for change before our economy collapses further.
We need to preserve personal freedoms and limit the state’s role in your daily life. You should have the power to decide what vehicle you drive or what kind of stove you have in your home—choices that shouldn’t be dictated by government mandates. I will protect individual rights and ensure that Delaware citizens maintain control over their own lives without excessive state interference.
Currently, more than 500 children in our state are unable to be placed in safe, nurturing homes. This crisis is not due to a lack of willing hearts but largely stems from a lack of education and awareness within our communities about how they can help. Foster care is more than providing a roof over a child’s head; it’s about offering them the love, stability, and support they need to thrive. These children deserve the chance to grow in environments where they feel safe and cared for, but without enough families and resources, this becomes increasingly difficult to achieve. The foster care system needs improvement, and that improvement starts with us. By raising awareness and providing the necessary education, we can empower more Delawareans to open their hearts and homes. Together, we can ensure that foster families have the support they need and that every child has the opportunity to break cycles and grow up in a nurturing environment.
Every Delawarean deserves to live in a safe and secure community – it’s the foundation for thriving jobs, quality schools, and strong businesses. To protect our future, we must prioritize the safety of our residents and ensure that those who break the law are held accountable.
